Marine Adora Scarf by House of Waris

Kashmir, India

High up in the hills of Kashmir, lives a special kind of goat tended by semi-nomadic herders living today in the traditional lifestyle of generations past. Long recognized as heirlooms and honored as symbols of prestige, Pashmina shawls are woven exclusively from the undercoat of hair, the “pashm” of the Kashmiri goat. Only at elevations of fourteen thousand feet above sea level, where high winds and extreme temperatures reign, do these long, luxurious, soft underbelly hairs develop, and only these unique hairs, are used to create the exquisite cashmere fabric known as pashmina. HOUSE of WARIS uses hand spun and hand woven cashmere to create our shawls. Once woven, our artisans using time honored traditions, devote many weeks to embroider our exclusive designs into these beautiful, one of a kind shawls, making each one a work of art and a piece of clothing to be worn and treasured for decades.

This handwoven, hand-embroidered cashmere scarf features a contrast nautical chain design. 100% cashmere.
