Born in Colombia, adopted by French parents, raised throughout Africa, and schooled in the Netherlands and Belgium - Haider Ackermann has a rich multicultural background.  Developing his worldview in such exciting and varied experiences, his influences have always been drawn from the delicate palette found at the meeting point of cultures. 

The Haider Ackermann scarves for RARE are made out of 70% yak and 30% silk. Yak historically was a yarn only used by the Chinese emperor. The scarves are hand made in the Nepal plateau by local nomad people. They are available in three colors – bronze, vison and lavender.
