Hudson Valley, USA
Tim Rowan established his kiln and studio deep in the woods of the Hudson Valley in 2000 where he lives with his wife and son. The bowls are all one of a kind made by coiling, pinching, and carving. After drying, they are coated with a black engobe and fired in a wood fueled kiln. At peak temperature, salt is tossed into the kiln where it vaporizes and forms a glaze. Tim’s inspiration is the intersection of the natural and the man made. Unique and one of a kind.
